Okayama-based furniture studio KITA WORKS has created a series of the brass-made cabinet for his solo exhibition KITA "Brass" organised by gallery MUTTE on February 2020. The design and production were done by Takashi Kita, the director of KITA WORKS. He skilfully handled solid brass, which is known to be difficult to weld, and assembled the thin frame to achieve a sensitive design. The locking mechanism on the front door was custom-made. The warm gold-coloured, unpainted brass has a deep, distinctive texture.
