Kei Harada designed these two chairs made of only solid rubber.

The designer focused on the characteristics of the rubber that looked the same but performed differently. He came up with the idea of the recliner chair by using the flexibility of rubber. Also, Harada said he was inspired by a scene he saw in a famous photograph named 'Dali Atomicus', that captured the artist Dali and flying chairs.

For the round back chair with simplified vertical legs, harder rubber (90°) was used. While, the rounded corner back chair with spindles, the designer applied softer rubber (70°). Both of them were exhibited in Tokyo Designers Week.
