Vacuum Lock is a furniture series (a set of furniture), in which all the joints are locked into place utilizing the vacuum forming process.

Normally, when applying the vacuum forming technique, you first design a mold depending on the wanted shape. Then, place a heated plastic board against the mold and let the air pressure, forms during the vacuum process, does all the work. The final step is to separate the shape from the mold. Ergo, it is important to design a mold that won't get the plastic shape stuck in from the first place.

Thinking in reverse, here comes my inspiration, instead of separating, what if I utilize this technique to join parts ? Then it is possible to create connections like traditional mortise-tenon joints that neither hardware nor glue is needed. Vacuum Lock is an adventurous combination of contemporary technology and the traditional mortise-tenon joint.
