2021 Graduation Project 'CORNICI' by Yuna Yi — IDREIT®

Entering the era of individualism, people in contemporary society now have more time to use smarphones. Accordingly, I also had more time to eat while watching smartphone. In that case, looking at the smartphone on the table put a lot of pressure on my neck. Whenever I feel pressure on my neck, I used to put my smartphone on the backside of the drawing board. Then it allowed me to adjust the height and to find the most comfortable angle to watch smartphone. I brought my everyday life into design, and produced CORNICI.

This product has three characteristics.

Ready made : It created different ways of use and new value by adding very little details on ready-made product.
Flat pack : Foldable structure allows anyone can easily assemble and disassemble.
Low cost : Pursuing an economical and reasonable desing, 1 unit of CORNICI can be produced with a budget of 19.72 dollars.

Based on the consideration of DIY commercialization, it can be assembled by users, and can be painted in any color according to their preference. CORNICI is consisted of two B3 drawing boards with hinged, four office clips, and two sub joints. This product can be easily assembled by inseting a sub joint between two drawing boards and inserting a clip into the hole. Moreover, CORNICI can be adjusted its layout and height based on the size of the space and circumstances as this product made to be stacked horizontally and vertically.

This product can be used in various circumstances from the temporary events, libraries, exhibitions to the daily life.
