With the declining birthrate, aging population, non-marriage doctrine, and rising divorce rate in modern society, the proportion of life patterns of two-generation families is decreasing day by day, and living alone is now developing as one of the most important social structures in Japan. doing.

I think this tendency is also active in China.

In Tokyo, the majority of the elderly and young people live alone. The traditional home style we imagine is gradually collapsing and disappearing. This is another problem that China must face. Solitude is the most familiar state of modern cities.

In Japan, the definition of a frame is a frame around a door, window, shoji, etc., an element in a space. It is a concept that was created to psychologically partition the space.

In China, the definition of a frame is a framework and a constructive union, which can physically divide the space.

The frame I am thinking of is neither the definition of Japan nor China. Putting these two together, this way of thinking was added. There is only one thickness and two widths. Since the width and thickness can be converted to each other, various combinations are possible. The frame is just a symbolic mark. Being in this space gives people a sense of ritual and ambiguity, pretending to be here, and connecting one space to another.

My research is to use frames instead of walls to achieve no walls in space.

Since all modern homes use walls to divide the space, I wanted to use this method to change the traditional interior design method, merging all the small spaces into one large space. To realize the opening and distribution of space.

Submit a lot of suggestions. Regarding the problem of choosing a place, I think that it may not be necessary to choose a specific building or condominium. I think what I'm doing right now is mostly an abstract proposal. In other words, I think my research proves that the frame can exist in the residential space as an experimental element.

It may be possible to meet the demand for different spaces as well as residential spaces. The last thing I want to prove is the frame keeps the balance between privacy and openness of the space.

A "frame" is not just a frame, it is a limit and a boundary that divides space. There are various methods of "world", which are closely related to space, and if there is no space, there is no frame.
