YUIZA is a chair collection made with conifers and rush grass rope. This collection includes stool, High stool, dining chair, lounge chair, ottoman, 2seater bench.
The frames are made of clean, white Kiso cypress, while the seats are made of flat-woven rope made from domestic rush, creating a soft color contrast.
The soft feel of the cypress frame and the smooth texture, moisture-regulating properties, and elasticity of the rush create a comfortable feel no matter the season. It contains more air than the paper cords that are commonly used for furniture seats, giving it a snug, snug fit. The use of beech in stress-bearing areas, such as the woven seat, complements the strength of the soft cypress furniture.
This collection aimed to create a collection that have uniquely Japanese craftsmanship like actively utilizes domestic materials and tying rush rope.
